Installation of the License Server for SILVERRUN BPM / RDM 2.8.4 Network (using 'Licence Protector')
- Create a shared directory on the computer that is dedicated to be the server for your SILVERRUN licenses.
Adjust share and file permissions so that your SILVERRUN RDM / BPM users have READ and WRITE access to this folder.
- Connect to our Web server and authenticate yourself
using the credentials provided to you by our Technical Support. On the target page, scroll down to the section 'SILVERRUN Security Mechanism' and download the 'Licence Protector Server' package.
- Unzip this package ('SR_LP_Admin.zip') on the computer dedicated to be the server for your SILVERRUN licenses, but not necessarily in the shared directory.
- Execute the command file 'regdll.bat'. (On Windows Vista, execute this step as an Administrator.)
- Copy the included initial license file 'license.lic' to the shared directory.
- Launch the SILVERRUN licensing tool (srnet.exe):
- Enter the server name, if it is not automatically added.
- Enter the path to the license file (without preceding backslash).
- Enter the name of the license file.
- Press OK (License Viewer will start).
- Take a snapshot of the License Viewer window (to copy the active window use key combination Alt + PrntScrn) and email it to Support at support@silverrun.com.
- Replace the initial license file 'license.lic' in the shared directory on your license server
by the one that you received from Support. (Please note: Any change of the server, its name, the path to the shared directory,
the shared name and/or the file 'license.lic' will affect the validity of the license.)
- Keep the zipped license as a backup copy.
